CONTAINED IN VOL 06.04, 2005Determines the purity of methyl amyl and methyl isoamyl ketone, as well as determining total ketones and impurities which may include isopropyl alcohol, methyl propyl ketone, acetone, methyl isobutyl and methyl butyl ketone, mesityl oxide, isobutyl carbinol, methyl isoamyl ketone, methyl butyl carbinol, diisobutyl ketone, and methyl amyl ketone. Acid and water is not able to be determined by this test procedure, and should be measured by other suitable ASTM methods and results used to normalize chromatographic data.
