Specifies automatic and semi-automatic induced and forced draught burners ('burners', for short) which meet the design specifications set out in sub-clause 3.1 and are operated on gases specified in the DVWG-Arbeits-blatt (Data sheet) G 260/1; the standard also deals with the utilization and installation of these burners in various types of heater, such as those specified in DIN4754, DIN 4756, and DIN 4794 Parts 1 and 3. The specifications of sub-clause 4.2.3 with respect to individual testing shall apply for burners operating on other industrial gases (e.g. gases with a relative density, dy, higher than 1,3), unless the manufacturer requests that the burner concerned be subjected to type testing fied in sub-clause 4.2.1.
