標準簡介

Deals with four procedures to determine turbidity of water. Two semiquantitative procedures, used for example in field work are covered:- measurement of turbidity by use of the transparency testing tube (applies to pure and lightly polluted water), and measurement of turbidity by use of the transparency testing disk (particularly applies to surface water). Two quantitative procedures using optical turbidimeters are covered - measurement of diffuse radiation, which applies to water of low turbidity, for instance drinking water, and measurement of attenuation of a radiant flux, which applies to highly turbid waters, for instance polluted or waste waters.
